"The young women who compete in the Miss America system are intelligent, articulate, highly motivated, caring, talented, ambitious and hard working. They are passionate about their platform issues and are major contributors to public service. They exemplify leadership skills, strength of character and spirit…they touch lives."
Miss America Organization: The Miss America Organization celebrates its 90th anniversary this year and is the longest running scholarship program for women. Each year over 45 million dollars are made available to the women who compete across the Unites States. The Miss America system stands for four main points, each represented on a point of the Miss America crown: style, service, scholarship, and success.
